Sugar is the first puppy we have kept,she is Rusty and Renee's Girl. We have never kept one of our puppies yet to raise as our own. Now that Rusty is getting older, we are saving some females from his lineage for he seems to be producing smaller litters, and we always want to have a part of him for he has been such a wonderful and smart Golden.

Anyway, Sugar is just wonderful. We get close to the puppies since we participate in the birthing process, just knowing that we helped deliver her and we get to keep her , we have been looking forward to this for a while!! Sugar was from only a litter of two, her and her brother. Her and her brother was very big when they were born.  

She is so very alert, intelligent and lovable and has her Aunt Darlin's keen sense of smell(can't hide the food from her ,ha,ha). She loves playing with the Big dogs and the smaller ones too. By 7 weeks old she had already learned sit , shake .Since that time she has just blossomed over and over with her learning.

After all the puppies were gone, we decided to get another puppy, that is when we brought Angel and her sister Trixie, into our homes. Sugar now had new playmates, which she enjoys very much, although she also enjoys playing with the BIG adult goldens just as much.Taz and her are pretty good buddies, it is just great therapy to watch the goldens play~ Every day is a new day :)

Sugar is also very vocal and we have taught her to speak upon command, she also speaks whenever she feels like it, which is alot. It is more than just a bark , her speak also includes much distinct sounds like rrrraaaaabbeerrrrrrahhhhRAHHHHHHH, changing her tone and pitch, just as if she is try to pronounce separate words.She is hilarious!

Well That is how she started out, here we are later now that she is over a year old and her vocal sounds are actually really more distinctive vowel sounds, like a human, well at least she knows three words I WANT ONE. She will tell you that if you are eating, if you have the ball, or just any time she feels like she wants something she will tell you, I WANT ONE, it is so funny, I never dreamed in my wildest days when I decided to teach her to speak it would actually go this far.Listen to her talk by clicking the link Up above that says Listen To Sugar talk or click this link   http://countrygoldenacres.com/Sugartalking.htm

Sugar is So much a Carbon Copy personality of her Father Rusty, And she is so smart, too smart :), she is very emotional too. But Sugar is the name for her she is sweet, but don't let that fool you for one moment she like's to play the competition ball game with the others, and she is very fast and doesn't mind taking a few rolls or dives in the stock tank after the ball, she just makes sure she shakes off next to you (ha ha).Her and Angel have now teamed up in the competition ball playing, and when sugar thinks she's about to lose the ball to one of the other Goldens she passes it to Angel and Angel picks it up real fast and she's off and running and the other Goldens they can't get it from Angel, even though Angel is our smallest , she has her bluff in on them (ha ha), It's great, they are just so entertaining and smart!!

Life at Country Golden acres is never dull, so many different personalities ~ yet all the same loving devoted attention wanting emotional goldens.
